A few days ago, an asteroid the size of the Eiffel Tower (304.8 meters in diameter) was classified by NASA as ” Dangerous ” passed a distance of 1.5 million kilometers from our planet at a speed of 6,000 km per hour. Fortunately an exceptional case without consequence.
By comparison, the NEO that “grazes” Earth appears to be a dwarf with a diameter of “only” 76 meters. Recorded 2023 HT4, an asteroid belonging to the Apollo family, will pass within 6 million kilometers of our planet on May 12. According to NASA’s classification, 2023 HT4 is about the size of a building.

It is bigger than an asteroid 2023 J.T. 16 meters in diameter and 1.3 million kilometers from Earth today. It is larger than the two NEOs that follow 2023 HT4. Firstly, 2023 J.G, measures 52 meters and will pass 7.1 million kilometers from our planet on May 13. The second is 2021 JK7 (46 meters) which will increase to 3.9 million kilometers on May 22.
Finally, on the same day, the 91 meter diameter asteroid 2023 GY2 passed 6.9 million km from Earth.
