Both the smartphones are firmly playing in the biggest court in terms of form and performance. Level Display, Honor and Samsung have completely mastered their subject.
The Samsung smartphone is equipped with a 6.6-inch panel with 1080 x 2380 pixels. It is based on AMOLED technology without LTPO with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels or 393 dpi. Getting a temperature of 6925 K and a Delta E of 2.1, this screen is well calibrated by adopting the appropriate setting (natural colors). Its brightness of 1291 cd / m² is more than believable. Also, we appreciate its ability to go down to 0.92 cd / m², while its response time remains at 58 ms.
Face it, the Magic 5 Pro’s screen is far from pale. It has an even bigger panel (6.81 inches) and is slightly different: its edges are curved while the Samsung terminal is completely flat. Honor backs its screen with LTPO technology, which offers a variable refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. It also gets high brightness, measured at 1298 cd / m². It drops to 2.03 cd/m², which makes viewing in the dark very comfortable. Once calibrated, the smartphone hits the mark: its screen has a Delta E of 1.1 and its color temperature is 6551 K, which is as close as possible to the reference standard. However, while the Galaxy S23 + benefits from Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating, we regret that this panel is not protected by a specific anti-scratch technology.
In any case, the Honor Magic 5 Pro dominates the Galaxy S23+ this round.
