A video posted by 91mobiles reveals a temperature sensor on the back of the Pixel 8 Pro that could act as a thermometer.
While Google has launched its new mid-range smartphone, the Google Pixel 7a, the manufacturer already seems to have its next premium models, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, in the starting blocks.
Indeed, the site 91 mobiles Thanks to leaker Kuba Wojciechowski, we managed to get our hands on the upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro in a launch video. It is enough to allow four months before its possible presentation to detect the design on the smartphone, but some of its technical characteristics.
At first glance, the Pixel 8 Pro looks identical in many ways to the Pixel 7 Pro that was launched late last year. In particular, the horizontal aluminum bar on the back allows the reception of a module with three cameras. Nevertheless, below the flash, 91Mobiles, we can distinguish what the temperature sensor is. This sensor makes it possible by bringing a person’s temperature close to the skull, without touching it, by rotating the smartphone around the head. A system much closer to providing technology currently used in non-contact thermometers.

If Google sticks to its regular schedule, expect an official presentation of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro sometime in the fall. As a reminder, the company launched its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro on October 6, 2022.
